A huge part of AEL's business is in the highly specialised manufacture of a full range of mild steel and stainless steel screens, doors, windows and rooflights including fire and high security, for both internal and external applications, including a thermally broken steel window system – Forster Unico and an-ultra-slim steel window system – Jansen Arte.
Doorsets are available in single or double action designs, including unlatched and as single or double leaf arrangements. The range includes an automatic sliding doorset with a fire resistance of 30 minutes integrity and insulation.
The standard curtainwall systems can accommodate vertical or slope glazing in standard and bespoke applications including fire and high security, for both internal and external locations. Due to the strength of the steel structural profiles, mullions and transomes have the ability to span large distances, unassisted by support structures and carry much larger individual glass panels than a standard aluminium system. Aluminium decorative capping profiles also compliment the finished façade and can be designed to match with any existing aluminium curtain walling.
Simply through the use of stainless steel clamp-plates the standard curtainwall system can be upgraded to a fire-resistant facade, allowing the economical and seamless integration with standard, non-fire rated areas of curtainwall.
AEL have considerable experience of unitising steel curtainwall panels allowing rapid installation programmes where standard stick systems would take too long on site. Our factory-glazed steel semi-unitised system has been widely used with panel sizes commonly being 2.0m wide x 5.0m high.
